This page will keep you in touch with any changes or additions made to the web site

20th October 2009

Had a big update to the website, have now added a lot more to the catalogues section and created a new page just for price lists, as I was getting so many different ones. Added a couple more articles as well. Also I’ve had a new logo created by Letitia and Esta-Jane Mace. Many thanks to them, check out their websites in the Links page. (Xclusively Jaguar and Project Jaguar)

Some more catalogues have now been uploaded to the relevant section, all watermarked. Should you require any unwatermarked copies, please contact me. Also the build figures are now updated and accurate. These are the correct build figures for the XJR based upon many hours research at JDHT with the original Jaguarsport build cards.

I have been playing about with HTML script and come up with two utilities I think may be useful for anyone wanting to learn more about the hidden info on their car. I have created a VIN Decoder and a Paint and Trim Decoder to allow you to interrogate the codes on your XJ40’s VIN label. These will only work with UK vehicles. They are available under the Services button at the top. Any issues/problems with these, please mail me.

I’ve been letting the web site slide for a while now, as I have been involved in a lot of research at Jaguar Heritage. It all started when the JaguarSport build cards surfaced at the archive and so I have spent many hours cataloguing and tracing all the XJR’s built. It isn’t finished yet but I have got the actual build numbers for these cars now. I will be putting these figures up soon, so please check back.

Its been a while since I last did some updates on the site, so I thought I’d keep you all informed on the latest updates.
I have got hold of a load more catalogues and articles and so those sections have now been updated with these items. Check them out, they make interesting reading.
I have also added another XJR to my drive. This time its a 1993 manual version. I will be adding photos and info soon, keep an eye out.
I will also be adding some new web links and trade adverts soon so keep an eye out for those.
If anyone wants to advertise on my web site, please contact me at steve@jaguarsport-xjr.com

Received an interesting e-mail from Graham Taylor at Black Country Jaguar, regarding spares for the XJR’s.

In September 2006 Jaguar and Unipart issued this statement
Jaguar Sport Sell off - Client 24

Due to a range rationalisation, the  expiration of service life and the need to refocus the core activities of the Jaguar Classic Parts programme an opportunity to purchase the entire range of  Jaguar Sport material has arisen. The entire range of Jaguar Sport material will be sold off to the highest bidder in a sealed bid auction. If you  are interested in assessing the sales potential of this material please contact  us on the details provided below and we will be happy to send you a full  inventory of all material.Once this sale has been completed all products with a client code prefix of 24 will be turned down within JPC –  this means these products will no longer be supported in the aftermarket by  Jaguar.

On an ongoing basis any customer queries relating to these products will be referred to the buyer of the entire inventory.

BLACK COUNTRY  JAGUAR Subsequently secured the  purchase of nearly 2 million pounds worth of stock in its entirety in 2007 and  has now become the official Jaguar sport dealer.

So for anyone who wants some official JaguarSport spares, contact Graham at Black Country Jaguar. His details are in the ‘Trade’ section of the Adverts page.

I now have my new project coming. A 1991 XJR in Solent Blue metallic. The car has been standing for a while and the interior has been partly dismantled for the fitting of a complete new air conditioning system. The web site has a new page (My XJR) for photos and articles regarding the restoration of this big cat.

02 September 2007

I now have copies of all the relevant parts and service manuals, on CD, from the JDHT. If anyone needs any info from this I will be happy to pass it on. Please contact me at steve@jaguarsport-xjr.com

The web site is alive!!!!!

Well, here we go. I have finally built the web site and got it online. Hopefully the register of JaguarSports will start filling up. I can only do this with your help. Please download a form, fill it in and send it back to me. Thanks.
